Activities at Venkateswar English Medium School

Conser Foundation organized an Environment Awareness Quiz Competition during Van Mahotsav Week at Venkateswar English Medium School. The event aimed to inspire eco-consciousness among young minds. Students enthusiastically participated and showcased their knowledge and commitment to environmental issues, making the program a great success. Their active involvement reflected a strong sense of responsibility towards protecting nature and promoting sustainable living.

Students of Venkateswar English Medium School actively engaged in meaningful discussions and shared insightful suggestions for building a climate-resilient future for Bhubaneswar. Their enthusiasm and awareness reflect a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and local climate action.

We proudly felicitated the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners of our Environment Quiz, honoring them as Eco-Warriors! These bright minds impressed us with their knowledge on topics like Air Quality Index (AQI) and COP 29, showcasing their awareness and commitment to a sustainable future.

Activities at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 (1st Shift)

We conducted an Environment Awareness Campaign at Kendriya Vidyalaya No. (1st Shift), where students actively participated with great enthusiasm. The campaign focused on building a climate-resilient future, and the discussions involved practical ways to combat climate change. The students shared insightful ideas, showing their awareness and commitment to protecting the environment for future generations.

We presented the first prize to the student who secured the top position in the competition. Along with the prize, we gifted an encyclopedia titled ‘Our Earth’ as a token of appreciation and to encourage further learning about our planet. The gesture was well-received and aimed to inspire continued interest in environmental awareness and education.

Students from PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 (First Shift) actively engaged with us in a meaningful conversation on environmental sustainability and the challenges of a changing climate. Each participant was awarded a Certificate of Participation in recognition of their involvement. Together, we also took the “Green Warrior Pledge” — One Sapling, A Year of Care, A Lifetime of Impact — committing ourselves to long-term environmental stewardship.

We proudly honoured the top three winners of our Environment Quiz at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 (1st Shift) by awarding them 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes and recognizing them as Eco-Warriors. Their outstanding knowledge and enthusiasm for environmental issues such as air quality and climate change truly stood out. These young champions embody the spirit of sustainability and inspire others to join the movement for a greener, more resilient future.

Conser’s dedicated volunteers engaged with students in meaningful discussions on climate change and highlighted Conser’s ongoing efforts in addressing environmental challenges. The session inspired students to reflect on their role in sustainability. At the end of the program, everyone was invited to take the Green Warrior Pledge — “One Sapling, A Year of Care, A Lifetime of Impact” — symbolizing commitment to a greener future.

Students of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 (2nd Shift) enthusiastically took part in an Environment and Climate Change Quiz conducted by the Conser Foundation. The questions ranged from medium to difficult level, testing their understanding of critical environmental challenges. Despite the complexity, the students performed remarkably well, showcasing their awareness, preparedness, and commitment toward building a sustainable and climate-resilient future.

Students actively participated in engaging discussions on environmental conservation, sharing thoughtful ideas and solutions to make Bhubaneswar a more climate-friendly and sustainable city. Their enthusiasm, awareness, and sense of responsibility were truly inspiring. From green spaces to waste management, their contributions reflected a deep commitment to protecting the environment and building a cleaner, cooler, and greener future for Bhubaneswar.

CONSER Foundation organised Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0 initiative to plant and nurture saplings as a symbol of growth, resilience, and a sustainable future. The programme was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Basant Kumar Dash, DM, Canara Bank, and Guests of Honour Mr. Bishnu Das (State Executive Member, Bharatiya Janata Party), Mr. Tapas Ranjan Padhi (Noted Environmentalist and Limnologist), Mr. Prince Kumar (Branch Manager, Canara Bank CDA Branch), and Mr. Bibhuti Pati (Senior Journalist, The Sambad). Led by Ms. Arundhati Rout, Chairperson, Conser Foundation, who provided visionary leadership, and Mr. Rudransh Panda, CEO, Conser Foundation, who ensured seamless execution, the event brought together volunteers, dignitaries, and community members to nurture the saplings through watering, fencing, and protection, reaffirming their commitment to expanding green cover, promoting climate consciousness, and building a greener, sustainable future.

We at Conser Foundation extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers who participated in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative. Their dedication, teamwork, and willingness to get their hands muddy made this event a true success. Together, we planted saplings in honour of our planet Earth, taking a meaningful step toward building a greener and more sustainable future.

Volunteers played a crucial role in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative, diligently fencing, nurturing, and caring for the newly planted saplings. Their hands-on efforts ensured each plant was protected and given the best chance to grow, reflecting their commitment to environmental conservation and a greener, sustainable future.

Ms Arundhati Rout, Chairperson of the Conser Foundation, presented a small token of green gifts to the young Green Warriors — our dedicated volunteers who gave their best in planting around 75 saplings of hope, symbolising their commitment to nurturing a greener and more sustainable future.

Volunteers actively participated in nurturing the saplings during the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative, carefully watering each plant to ensure its healthy growth. Their dedication and hands-on efforts reflect a deep sense of responsibility toward the environment. Every drop of water symbolizes hope, care, and commitment to a greener, sustainable future. Through such mindful actions, the volunteers not only contributed to the immediate well-being of the saplings but also fostered a culture of environmental stewardship, inspiring others to take consistent steps toward protecting and preserving our planet for generations to come.
